About
I'm a physician, epidemiologist, and public health leader (he/him). My work focuses on preventing non-communicable diseases (NCDs), especially prediabetes, diabetes, and obesity. I care about getting proven prevention tools, including digital and AI-enabled ones, into real health systems.
In May 2026 I earned my Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. For my doctoral thesis, I interviewed 35 senior leaders and used the NASSS framework to ask why prediabetes is not yet part of national care pathways and what it would take to change that. I also hold an MPH in Epidemiology & Biostatistics and a Post-Master's Certification in Data Visualization & Communication from the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis, an MBBS from Alfaisal University, and the Certified in Public Health (CPH) credential from the NBPHE.
I've worked across academia, hospitals, startups, and industry in Saudi Arabia and the United States. That includes designing clinical validation studies, scaling AI-based NCD screening to more than 200 clinics, teaching epidemiology and biostatistics, and mentoring more than 50 graduate thesis students. Most recently I led prediabetes validation and risk analyses at Willow Laboratories.
I'm currently open to new roles in research, health systems, and health innovation.
